Last November I embarked on my first cruise, with excitement, curiosity, limited travel experience and a whole bunch of trepidation. Our travel agent Michelle Matthews was just great, she handled my many questions and concerns with patience and expertise right from the start. It turned out to be one of the most fun, care-free and meaningful adventures that I have ever had. The food, the company, the exquisite beauty of the ocean and of the Caribbean was such a wonderful experience.

I highly recommend this cruise whatever your travel experience. You will be free to follow your own personal preferences and needs but also warmly welcomed to join in any and all activities as a valued member of the group. Keep an open mind and let go of what you think you know, relax and have fun. You will be safe and respected whatever your choices. 

Reverend Jim Kinnear, Reverend Karen Willis and Reverend Kevin Martel are warm, fun and experienced hosts with a genuine desire to share their spiritual knowledge and gifts. Reverend Jim Kinnear starts each day with a meditation which is open to everyone on the cruise. I do these daily at home and just love them. He has three free meditations on YouTube, I encourage you to give them a listen. They have truly been invaluable in my spiritual journey plus my mental and physical health. I am finally able to quiet my mind and body, which is so vital but rare in these times.

I highly recommend the workshops wherever you are in your journey or beliefs – they are a lot of fun, a great way to connect with the group and develop and strengthen your own inherent abilities.

I felt seen, heard and greatly comforted during my spiritual counselling and reading with Reverend Karen Willis. Her warmth is genuine, her love is enveloping and palpable. Her advice and reading were spot on. 

I also had readings from Kelly Krug and Kristina Nez Begay who both were so warm, genuine, gentle and comforting. I had three separate readings and my parents came through each time. Karen and Kelly and Kristina described similar events in different ways, through different eyes and perspectives – I truly felt my mom’s essence and dad’s presence right there in the room with us each time, despite the many years of their passing and fading of my memory. They brought back memories and different aspects of their personalities that I had long forgotten. It was a truly moving and precious experience for me.

My Caribbean Cruise, November, 2023

When my sister told me she was joining the Cruising With Spirit Cruise in November of 2023 I was so excited – I wanted to go too! I had longed to go on a Caribbean Cruise all my life.

My sister is amazing. In no time at all I found myself invited to go with her, I was SO excited! And, ‘just like that’ – we flew to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to join Sailing With Spirit’s Cruising with Spirit on the beautiful Celebrity Reflection.

The line of people boarding this huge ship were long but surprisingly it didn’t take as long as I expected to be welcomed on board. The ship was so big, and so luxurious! It was my first cruise, I was both excited and nervous! The crew was both friendly and very helpful, my sister and her roommate helped me find my inside cabin on the 8th floor. They had an Ocean View cabin, which was quite lovely. Exploring the ship was fun! The buffet service was on the 14th floor, as well as a huge outdoor pool. We ate breakfast and lunch in the buffet, dinner was the early time frame and we were all assigned to a specific table for the duration of our cruise. Everyone from waiters at dining room to staff at the buffet were courteous and kind. Menus – such a choice, yum!

Our first night on the ship we experienced a rough sea, I didn’t have my sea legs yet so I felt like a drunken sailor, even though I hadn’t had anything to drink.

Every morning we would hear announcements by the Captain of the ship – Captain Kirk! He is not just an amazing captain, but a real rock star! He treated the passengers to a concert the last night of the cruise – he can sing, play guitar and play drums! WOW!

As a group, we were to feel welcome, and I very much enjoyed the meditation every morning as well as the Divine Service on the Sunday. Rev. Kinear offered workshops, private readings, and an open demonstration of mediumship, which was amazing! I had a reading with Rev. Karen Willis, and also in the demonstration of mediumship my grandmother came through with a message for me. That was truly an emotional experience, I was very close to my grandmother and her message meant the world to me. In my reading Rev. Willis described my parents, sister and my late husband, who had passed in 2021. She even accurately described the house I lived in at the time he passed. In short, this cruise was fabulous!

If I ever have a chance to go on another cruise I would go! Thanks to Sailing With Spirit for this cruise, it was the experience of a lifetime

In November 2023 I had an opportunity to go Sailing with Spirit. Michelle Matthews, our travel agent extraordinaire was courteous, friendly, professional and so easy to work with!

I would like to share some of my experiences – it was an amazing cruise, and I would highly recommend next year’s cruise! From having a great roommate to enjoying the beauty of the sea from the Ocean View cabin the trip was awesome. The food seemed never ending, and in addition to being plentiful was well presented, and delicious.

Our group was led by Reverend Jim Kinnear, Reverend Karen Willis and Reverend Kevin Martel. Each offered friendship, insights, patience and their expertise. Morning meditations (open to all cruise guests) as well as a Divine Service, demonstrations of mediumship and private readings and fascinating workshops made for both a fun and busy cruise! All were uplifting, insightful and unique. Two workshops were offered by visiting mediums who joined our cruise, Kelly Krug and Kristina Nez Begay. They also offered private readings, which I’m told were also amazing, although I was not able to avail myself of a private reading. Next time! 😊

There were many opportunities also to disembark and visit those ‘far away places with strange sounding names’ – some of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean, made all the more so by the company of my cruise pals.
Whether you decide to go on a cruise with Sailing With Spirit for spiritual reasons or just to enjoy the company and camaraderie of some amazing people – you should definitely go!

Our cruising experience with Jim @ co, or as I often refer to them “my other family” was a definite 10 out of 10. Our destinations were perfect, and the tours were very well organised. Our workshops were well planned, and delivered positive experiences for both my husband and myself.

The food…… oh the food, where to start, so many choices. From specialty restaurants to chilling out at the buffet, the choices are endless. The friendliness of the staff and fellow cruisers, not to mention the entertainment, exceeded our expectations. I can’t rate our experience highly enough. The ship was beautiful, and the perfect size for us, our cabin was spotless and extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend “cruising with spirit” to all my friends and family.
